FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U.S. Navy Veteran Announces the Launch of a $500K Crowdfunding Campaign

To Help Build More Black Owned Businesses

September 5, 2021 - Penang, Malaysia – Wayne C. Robinson, a U.S. Navy veteran, and the founder of INSPIRE THE DREAMS, INC. (INSPIRE) is excited to announce the launch of its crowdfunding campaign, “Help Me Build More Black Businesses.

The goal of the campaign is to raise startup funds to provide business opportunities and employment for more Black people.

INSPIRE is answering the call of the 400,000 Black small businesses that closed from the impact of  COVID-19 and the challenges that Blacks historically face when seeking investor funds.

According to a Morgan Stanley report, women and minorities access only 2-3% of investor funding. Investors admitted that they weighted various factors differently depending on the race and gender of who was in front of them. This paradigm provides most women and minorities little or no chance to start or scale their businesses.

Wayne C. Robinson, founder and CEO of INSPIRE, says the solution to this disparity is to develop a platform for more Black people to become entrepreneurs without the need for investor funding.

I am going to present a personal development training as a business opportunity for women and minorities, particularly Black female entrepreneurs, who want to operate a business successfully but may not have the upfront and general operating costs,” said Robinson. “An online platform removes most of the startup costs and the operating expenses most businesses require, and entrepreneurs will earn a much higher profit margin with my business model.”

The online platform invites its audience to purchase a non-exclusive licensing agreement from INSPIRE to sell and provide the training for THE TANDEM METHODS Human Potential System, specifically designed to teach minorities proven success principles and strategies.

INSPIRE is raising $500K on the GoFundMe website to initiate the pilot project and work with a startup incubator/accelerator hybrid program to begin building the business. The plans are to market and train new entrepreneurs and target students for the personal development training by the end of the first quarter of 2022.

Robinson stated that his business model will also support Black life coaches and personal development trainers, Black business organizations and other networking groups whose mission is to reach this audience

with economic opportunities.

Robinson worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 25 years in the U.S., Caribbean Islands, Canada, and Mexico and worked with Fortune 500 companies in customer service and sales. The 66-year-old U.S. Navy veteran journalist said the culmination of his travel career was when he was promoted to director of sales and marketing for a vacation club in Negril, Jamaica, which was supposed to be the beginning of his retirement. Robinson came out of his retirement to start building this platform applying his sales, marketing and customer service skills.

Robinson believes his business model will help prevent Black small businesses from being destroyed by poor economic conditions, a global pandemic, and rioting which was evident in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1920s.

Ironically, this pandemic is exactly 100 years after Black Wall Street was destroyed by white rioters in the Greenwood district of Oklahoma,” said Robinson. "How are we to prepare for the next pandemic? With an online platform, future pandemics, economic crisis and rioters will not have any effect on the business and wealth growth of Black businesses. The disparity of this Black and white wealth gap can finally begin to close, and I’m going to do everything in my power to help close it.”

Robinson’s campaign launches on September 15, 2021. He is requesting the support of the general public, corporate America, and government agencies to donate to the crowdfunding campaign to begin building his business platform.

INSPIRE THE DREAMS, INC. is committed to inspiring new ideas and innovations that create business and social enterprise opportunities for Black people.
